Senator Nnamani, a Twitter user exchanges insults
Former Enugu State Governor and Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Chimaroke Nnamani, alongside a Twitter user, @McCa_Xn, on Sunday engaged in a “word shooter” on the popular microblogging platform, TwitterPUNCH reports.
The punch reports that Nnamani has recently increased her engagement on the social media platform by frequently engaging in Twitter Spaces, tweet chats with young people.
The senator, who is seeking re-election to the House of Assembly, previously noted in a Twitter space that he would no longer block Twitter users who insulted him after being called out by some users.
However, on Saturday, the senator noted that there was no “obidiente party.”
“Still on this Obidient case, there is no obedient party, the name is Labor Party, a political party with candidates in all positions including Governorship. Our party is different and it is the People’s Democratic Party. If we blur the distinction and foolishly vote Obidient who is Labor in the minority elite presidency, it’s easy to backtrack two weeks later,” he tweeted.
Nnamani also tweeted, “We are Ebeano, our political party is not Labor, we are PDP and our symbol is the umbrella.”
Nnamani’s tweet drew a response from @McCa_Xn, who called the senator, “Ewu” meaning goat in the Igbo language.
However, the senator replied to the user: “Your father and your mother Ewu.”
The punch reports that the senator has been involved in a series of “political evangelism” on behalf of his political party, the PDP.
