ABOUT THE ROLE

In 2022, Carriageworks will present a program of culturally diverse contemporary performances which includes Vivid Sydney 2022, Keir Choreographic Award and the work of various resident and external companies. The Performance Program Producer will work with the guidance and direction of the Program Director and in collaboration with program, production and other staff to develop, deliver and present a range of performance programs to Carriageworks.

This is a term, part-time position offered at 0.8 FTE for 8 months, or equivalent arrangement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative and project delivery support for the delivery and presentation of Carriageworks performance programs including but not limited to Vivid Sydney and Keir Choreographic Award
  • Implement project schedules, manage project budgets, organize artist schedules,
  • management of external subcontractors, reservation of flights and accommodation for artists and tours, organization and reservation of ground transport, riders and reception of artists
  • Act as a liaison for artists and their touring groups, including arranging artist riders and other necessary hospitality requirements
  • Work collaboratively and effectively as a member of the Carriageworks program team
  • Liaise with Carriageworks Communications and Partnerships team to gather and share
  • information for websites, social media and external sources
  • Liaise with production personnel regarding production requirements for performance programs
  • Ensure that the organizational values ​​of Excellence, Collaboration and Respect are upheld and encourage and support these values ​​within the Carriageworks team
  • Work with a conscience and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in occupational health and safety
  • Undertake other duties as requested, as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Experience in the development, delivery and production of contemporary performance programs
  • Experience working closely with independent artists and companies
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, develop plans and meet deadlines, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in an effective team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision maintaining a high level of independence, judgment and initiative
  • Well-developed computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to work evenings and weekends

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in the development, delivery and production of contemporary performance programs
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing and managing project budgets
  • A working knowledge of the arts and cultural industries
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (WH&S)
